Nature-Based Play Social Groups
Nature-Based Play Social Groups at Youphoria offer small group outdoor experiences that support young people in building connection, resilience, and well-being through nature, mindfulness, and play.
Reconnection, regulation, and resilience through nature.
These small, 3–4 person social groups are designed for young people under 18 who benefit from connection-based learning in a supportive outdoor environment. Each 3-hour session is grounded in the core pillars of connection to self, connection to others, and connection to nature.
Our nature-based groups offer a holistic, trauma-informed approach to social development by blending mindfulness practices, sensory-rich play, and group-based activities that promote communication, cooperation, and self-awareness. These sessions allow young people the chance to explore, learn, and grow while immersed in natural environments that stimulate the senses and regulate the nervous system.
Participants engage in nature-based sensory integration, movement, and reflective activities designed to:
- Strengthen emotional resilience and adaptability
- Foster environmental awareness and stewardship
- Build collaboration and social confidence
- Enhance physical, mental, and emotional well-being
By integrating natural elements into play and peer connection, these groups inspire curiosity, self-regulation, and a deepened sense of belonging. Nature becomes both a playground and a therapeutic space—supporting children and adolescents to thrive socially, emotionally, and developmentally.
If you are a parent, educator, NDIS support coordinator or practitioner interested in referring a young person to our Nature-Based Social Groups, please email Katie@youphoriacoaching.com.au for more information.
